Gabby Drees is working as a freelance photojournalist in the Iowa City area studying journalism and sociology. She's worked as a photojournalist and editor for The Daily Iowan and has appeared in The Iowa City Press-Citizen and The Cedar Rapids Gazette covering sports, music, and breaking news, with a focus on human interest stories. As a visual storyteller, she is most passionate about long-form photo projects and short documentary films. She served as a Director of Photography in the University of Iowa School of Journalism's flagship documentary workshop.
